Trekking through the serpentine and precarious route to Shrikhand is a journey to remember for a lifetime. Amid the breathtaking beauty and rare landscapes that each stretch offers, the 35-km hike to the Shiv abode does not let you forget, even for a second, that it's an ascent to the toughest pilgrimage in India. Even while feeling hanging by a thread on more than one occasion, the sight of the precipitous rock at 17600 ft on the top is a reminder why the best things comes to those who 'walk' hard.
